deRail
Typography brief: Design a font based around transportation (or something to that effect).
I chose to base my idea around the overhead power cables along the Birmingham railway lines. Looking at any linear sturcture you can pretty much make any shape or letterform quite easily, however, adding in all the trimmings (plylons, bolts, couplings, lighting etc) and making sure each cable correctly connected to the other was a pain in the arse I really didn't see coming.
The end product? I'm pretty proud of it.

Press Start
